Day 337: 13/02/14

Responses from Psalm 130, quotation from Celtic prayer of Northumbria

In the name of the Father,
                        the Son,
                 and the Holy Spirit.

You have brought us through the wilderness and brought us through the storm.
So as we wait upon your goodness, we rest assured of more to come.

R: Our souls wait for the Lord,
more than watchman for the morning.
more than watchman for the morning.

You have been faithful to us in the past, you will be faithful to us in our future.
And in the waiting we remind ourselves and each other of your faithfulness.

R: Our souls wait for the Lord,
More than watchman for the morning.
More than watchman for the morning.

We have tasted your goodness. We have seen your delight.
So in the midst of the night we proclaim your holy light.

R: Our souls wait for the Lord,
More than watchman for the morning.
More than watchman for the morning.

In your word we find a compass. Your Spirit a faithful guide.
You, Father, give us a reason to hope.
You, trinity, the manifestation of steadfast love.

R: Our souls wait for the Lord,
more than watchman for the morning.
More than watchman for the morning.

Leader: "May the peace of the Lord go with you, wherever he may send you."

In the name of the Father,
                        the Son,
                and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.
