Oh man! I can hardly believe 100 day is here! It reminds me of elementary school when we all had to bring our 100 things to celebrate 100 day. And I've been racking my brain for some creative 100 idea and I've come up empty. But I'm celebrating this milestone with a packed day in this beautiful land of the living.
A little responsive prayer of thanksgiving seems fitting:
Holy God,
Our bodies wake us up way before we're ready.
We get up and drink our coffee and shower off the chaos of yesterday.
We come to you to refresh our minds in your stillness, to make us ready to sit at your feet.
We bask in your goodness.
We drink in your kindness.
We rest in your peace.
We give you thanks,
100 times over, for going so far above and beyond in our lives.
We give you thanks
for the myriads of miracles you work in our lives as individuals and as a whole.
We give you thanks
for the silent victories we have yet to see.
We give you thanks
that we have a home and a name in you.
Rewrite our lives to reflect more of your goodness.
Edit our minds until you are the dominant theme.
Change the grammar, change the tone,
we're you're children and we want to be known by you and known as yours.
We love you! We celebrate you! We celebrate your goodness!
Our other, our holy.
Amen (let it be)
