Holy God,
We awake and find your beauty surrounding us.
We hear the rhythms of the world waking up and we anticipate another day of goodness.
You roll and smooth out the rough places of my life like roti.
And I become aware that not a single atom is outside of your care.
You usher in light and tenderness in the face of deceit and a hard heart.
Undo me, continue to make me new, smooth out my rough places,
let the water of your love erode every rough patch, every sharp and cutting edge.
Implant in me the seeds of your joy, your gratitude, your perceptive awareness of others.
Turn my eyes, yep just straight up grab my face and make me look you in the eyes.
Don't let me look away, let me soak in all of your loving kindness.
Don't let me run away, let me surrender to the uncomfortable amount of care,
Let me be silently at peace with your overwhelming, over the top love.
cocoon me,
swaddle me,
heal me
you, my other, my holy.
